Ingredients

Serves : 2
  • 1/4 cups horse gram flour


  • 1/2 tsp mustard seeds


  • 1 sprig curry leaves


  • 1 nos onion,medium,chopped


  • 4-5 nos garlic pods


  • 1 nos tomato,medium,chopped


  • 2 nos green chilies,chopped


  • 1/4 tsp asafoetida


  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder


  • 1/2 tsp salt


  • 1/4 cups coriander leaves,chopped


  • 1 tbsp lime juice(optional)


  • 1 tbsp refined oil

Directions

  • In a pan add oil, to that mustard seeds. When the seeds splutters add onion and curry leaves.
  • When onions turn translucent add garlic followed by tomatoes and green chilies.
  • When the tomatoes turn mushy add Asafoetida, turmeric powder, salt.
  • Mix horse gram flour in little water and add to the pan.
  • Add 1 cup water and let it simmer till the horse gram is cooked and the curry thickens.
  • Add chopped coriander leaves, lime juice and turn off the flame. Serve hot with rice or like a soup.
